The car is a real tiger with id of b9470057 lpxfe. There is body work to be done on the car but hardly any of it deals with rust. As the photos show, body has been primed with epoxy prime after it was media blasted. Engine is 289 ford that has a t10 transmission attached. The car is about 90% complete. More photos on request.

1966 sunbeam tiger!!! Here is one of the most original sunbeam tigers that i have ever come across. This 1966 sunbeam tiger is a two owner car since new and was originally sold new in california. This car even retains the license plate frame from the original selling dealer. This is an original tiger and not a made up alpine with a v8. This car has been certifed by the tiger club as an original tiger. This car has a great documented history folder as well as being documented by colin cromer who is a shelby expert and historian. He documented the car throughly in the early 2000s. This tiger has a very unique story, within the first 12 months of ownership the original 260ci v8 injested a valve and i believe under warranty the engine was replaced with a 289ci hi-po engine since by then they were no longer offering the 260 and had switched to the 289ci ford v8. On top of this, this tiger was equipped with many of the desirable lat options! The result of this is a highly original and unmolested car. This car also retains its original interior! Even the seatbelts are original! This is truly an amazing car and is an absolute time capsule. The car has only covered about 113k miles since new an has been regularly maintained and well documented. The car starts up and runs like a top and everything seems to be working wonderfully. The sunbeam tiger is an excellent collectible classic to enjoy as an investment or just for fun on the weekends. This tigerhas had one very high quality repaint in 1999 and has been lovingly cared for. The paint has a very deep look to it and the body work is laser straight! Everything on the car lines up great and the doors open and shut with an amazing amount of ease. This is an accident free car. I have been all around it and under it and i can not find any signs of accidents. There is dry dirt/dust... Also being an original california car there is no rust !!! Its amazing to see how well the chrome and stainless have held up. The chrome and trim on the car is in excellent condition. The car breathes through a set of ceramic coated lat optioned headers and the car sounds absolutely amaizing! As previously mentioned the original 260ci v8 injested a valve during the 1st 12 months of ownership and the original selling dealer installed a 289ci hi-po v8. The ignition has been upgraded to a pertronix ignitiona and the car does come with the original ignition as well. The brakes have just been completely gone through and have great feel, are very responsive and most importantly stops great! The car rides down the road well and steers very well. The car comes with its original owners manual as well as a very thick binder with reciepts that date back to 1968!!!!! There is even a certificate of california emmissions compliance dated in 1966! Overall i believe the car to be in very good mechanical shape and is an absolute joy to drive. Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale January 19th - 22nd, 2017 at Russo and Steele's 17th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
