The m-design package was created through bmw ag's individual program. It was a sport package that made the cars so-fitted into virtual m3 clones, save for retaining the standard track and a few regular-duty suspension components, and keeping the stock 325 engine. While the regular 325is wore 15 x 7-inch cast alloy wheels, the m-design used 17 x 7. 5-inch, two-piece forged bbs alloys with 235/40-17 tires; its standard suspension was replaced with a re-engineered m technic suspension with firmer shocks and thicker anti-roll bars front and rear, and a limited-slip differential was a required option. Accenting the body were the european m3's distinctive aerodynamic twin-stalk side-view mirrors, its side skirts, rear valance and the deep air dam--with three horizontal slats--of the luxury package m3. Also included were "bmw motorsport"-emblazoned door handles, m technic badges on the body side trim, manually adjusted, heated front sport seats upholstered in a combination of black "hurricane" cloth (incorporating the m division's trademark blue/purple/magenta colors) and amaretta faux suede, a tri-color-stitched steering wheel, m shift knob, anthracite-colored headliner and chrome exhaust tips. This car, a remarkable example that came to us from the last owner of 14 years, he was the third owner, having purchased it at 52k miles. Always well serviced, and cared for. With only 150 cars produced, this one is a keeper !

The car was bought new on 4/28/1994 at savage bmw in ontario, ca and shows no signs of rust or structural abuse. Paint has been metered and is 100% all original. This is a 1 owner car and shows pride of ownership at every angle. This car is no longer in production thus making these models harder and harder to come by. The 840 has factory oxford green paint that was just fully buffed and hand waxed. This car shows no history of accident damage or any corrosion, as all body lines are correct and body panels all in excellent shape with no damage. The michelin pilot tires have good tread life all the way around but are showing their age with some cracking on the side walls and tread blocks and should be replaced. The rest of the car does not show any wear outside of the normal amount to be expected at this mileage. All of the trim is in excellent condition. The car has complete set of tools, jack, and original spare. The original stereo system sounds great with all original cd changer still installed. The sunroof works great and all accessories work correctly. Mechanically, this 840ci runs and drives great. It has very healthy and very quick 4. 0l 8-cyl. That is very strong and a 5 speed automatic transmission that shifts perfect. The motor puts out 280hp and is plenty to move this nimble coupe around. The a/c blows ice cold. The car also has no problem passing arizona emissions. This car is ready to go and is in excellent condition inside and out. The exterior of this bmw is stunning in oxford green with creme leather interior and dark accents; it's definitely the most desired color combination for the 840. This car is an excellent value and is a lot of ride for the money, and with this kind of condition... This car is also carfax and autocheck certified to have never been damaged, and is a one doctor owned vehicle!
